Our Mission

Hope in Action is the compassion arm of 517 Ministries and is dedicated to feeding those in need and sharing the hope that comes from Jesus Christ, both in our local community and around the world.  Our goal is to change people’s lives for the better, both now and into eternity. We are meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs by showing the love of Christ in a practical way.

Local Outreach

Hope in Action provides meals and groceries to help those in need in Winchester, Frederick County, and surrounding areas.  We have provided help for 1000s of local families in Frederick County/Winchester City, VA. In 2023, we began to expand our reach to surrounding counties. We partner with local churches, businesses, and community members to provide help in times of need.
Support a family

COMMUNITY Impact

We host community Hope in Action events all throughout the year. You will see us set up in front of a local business, park, or church with our red tents, grills fired up, and music playing. We provide a free lunch to each person who attends the event. We take time to pray with and share Christ with each person. Every family leaves with a HOPE grocery box, filled with non-perishable food and household supplies.

Hope in Action partners with several local churches.  Local church partners participate in Hope in Action events and help provide HOPE boxes for local families.  Hope in Action believes in Kingdom ministry.  We are honored to serve with churches and pastors in our community.  Contact us and learn how your church can partner with Hope in Action or host a Hope in Action event.
